Neighborhood matching grants
The Provo Municipal Council created the Neighborhood Matching Grant Program to allow citizens a proactive approach to the development of their communities. The Municipal Council allocated funds to allow neighborhood-based groups and organizations to propose projects which will benefit the neighborhood communities. The program is designed to enable these neighborhood groups to accomplish neighborhood development projects which may not have transpired due to lack of funding.
Community Oriented Policing (COP)
Concerns about quality of life led the Provo Police Department to develop a partnership with the community to solve neighborhood problems. Thus, a Community Oriented Policing (COP) team was developed. The program has operated successfully in our city for many years.
